Court Hotel Mito

The room was clean and had enough space for two, and the staff were friendly. There’s complimentary tea and coffee in the lobby, too. We stayed here while travelling from Tokyo to catch the ferry to Hokkaido. It’s about a kilometre from the station, but the walk is easy and scenic.

Good value, with free coffee that tastes really nice. The hotel isn’t far from the train station, and parking is available for 1,000 yen.

The room was sparkling clean, and the bed, blanket, and pillows were comfortable. We had a really good night here. The lobby also has self-serve coffee and tea, and Mito station is only about a five-minute walk away. There are Sakura trees along the river next to the hotel, and we felt we got great value for what we paid. The staff were super nice and patient with us. Their English wasn’t very strong, but they used a great translation app, so there weren’t any communication problems. One suggestion: replacing the corridor carpet would make the place feel newer and nicer.

We found it easy to get to the city center and the train and bus stations from here. It’s an affordable place in the center, handy for a short business trip. The room was clean, with shampoo, soap, conditioner, and a toothbrush provided. Check-in was quick, the documents were also available in English, and the staff were very friendly.
