The food was pretty nice, but the rooms smelled and the price felt high. The whole surrounding area seemed like it had seen better days. I came away a bit disappointed.

The hiking trails around the hotel were nicely marked, and the staff were friendly. The surroundings have a pleasant rustic feel.

The meals came buffet-style and the food was good. Service was nice, and it was a good hotel.

We came in with low expectations after being told ahead of time that, because there weren't many guests, dinner would be kaiseki instead of a buffet and breakfast would be a set meal. The room turned out to be spacious, with a lovely ocean view, and dinner was generous and delicious. There was sashimi, teppanyaki meat, roast beef, an earthenware pot dish, hot pot, seafood rice, tasty miso soup, and a three-course platter. Chawanmushi, grilled fish and meatballs, and tempura were brought out hot. I was full and very satisfied. 👍️🍴full😍 Breakfast had a bottled rice bowl 🍚 and plenty of side dishes. At the end they offered desserts 🍰🍨, yogurt, fruit, milk, and more. We appreciated how kind and hardworking the staff were, so we bought something from the shop for them to enjoy. Even with so few guests, we were delighted by the upgraded hospitality. We'd definitely like to come back. 💐😊
