Hotel de L'aqua Miyakojima

The room was perfect for me apart from not having an ocean view. Being right in the city center made it easy to walk to restaurants, souvenir shops, and other places, with a convenience store close by. I picked this hotel after a travel YouTuber said breakfast was good, and it lived up to that. The food was homemade, tasty, and felt healthy, with lots of variety. I especially liked the nutritious purslane salad and fruit like dragon fruit. There were kid-friendly things too, including corn flakes and chocolate croissants. The lobby water server and coffee available around the clock were a nice touch. Thank you.

The separate bathroom and toilet were nice, and there’s a public bath too. I also found the washer and dryer right by the bath really convenient, plus there’s a spot to wash and dry diving gear. The room was clean, breakfast was homemade and delicious, and the hotel is close to town. I had a comfortable stay and would use this place again on another trip to Miyakojima.

Breakfast was the big win for me. It was light, full of vegetables, and gave me plenty of side dishes to choose from without feeling guilty, which worked well after eating good food at lunch and dinner while sightseeing. Maybe the chef chose those seasonings with that in mind. I usually like stronger flavors, so I did wish soy sauce were available for free, but maybe the gentle seasoning is part of why it tastes so good. In town, a farm-vegetable buffet lunch would probably cost around 2,500 yen. The sata andagi was delicious too. I really appreciated the chef’s generosity! The Japanese-Western room had enough space to open my suitcase, and the bed was comfortable. The location was easy to reach. I wasn’t sure which hotel to choose, but I’m glad I stayed here. For the price, convenience, and breakfast, I’d pick it again if I return to Miyakojima.

The location was great, and it’s a handy base for going anywhere around Miyako. Staff were friendly and the food was especially good, so service gets five stars from me. The facilities felt new and comfortable. I had a few issues with the lighting and hot water in the large bath, which is why I gave that four stars.
