The location is right in downtown on a national highway, with the hotel's mechanical parking lot behind the building. There is a height limit for cars. I stayed one night at Route Inn Miyazaki Tachibanadori, one of a chain with more than 330 branches in Japan and abroad. It was the seventh Route Inn I've stayed at, and the service felt consistently dependable again. It doesn't have unusual design or especially entertaining hospitality, but it knows how to look after business travelers and tourists. After a long day of work or driving, the indoor public bath was relaxing. It fits around 10 people and has five washing stations. Face lotion, cotton swabs, and hair tonic were available too. There's also a laundry room and free coffee machine. The room was clean. Breakfast isn't huge in variety, but it was a good start to the day, and it begins at 6:30am, which is handy if you're leaving early.

The rooms are fine for a budget business hotel, and the staff are kind and helpful. Route Inn's breakfast is good as usual. It's close to downtown, though a bit far from the JR station.

The bed cover had very noticeable stains, which was the worst part. It's a basic budget business hotel, and the room is small. It's a little far from the station, though there's a nice variety of amenities.
