Fairfield by Marriott Kyoto Amanohashidate

It's right across from the tourist information building, where you can also rent bikes. The bus stand is across the street too, with buses straight to Osaka and Kyoto, which was super convenient. They only take cash, so keep that in mind. There's a shopping centre within walking distance as well, making this a prime spot for tourists. We booked six months ahead because it was the cheapest option in the area, though it was still very expensive compared with our stays in Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto. It was worth the price. The rooms were spacious, the beds comfortable, and the staff were really nice. My favorite part was the free coffee, tea, and soup in the lobby kitchen. The coffee and soup got my mornings going 😂. There's an outdoor smoking area too. I especially enjoyed staying here and would book again if I return. Amanohasidate is a gem.

After a day exploring the area, my wife and I checked in here and had a very comfortable one-night stay. The hotel is in the region's downtown, with a grocery store, Mcdonalds, and plenty of restaurants nearby. It's a bit far from Amanohashidate, though, so check the transit schedules. The building looks great and seems very new. The rooms are updated and have plenty of personality, and the staff are friendly and professional. There isn't much service to speak of, which is why I rated service three stars. There is a large lounge with a coffee machine and a kitchenette stocked with teas, and you can cook simple meals there. We'd happily come back, though we wish the TVs had streaming access.

I had a last-minute work trip and my Japanese is very limited, but the staff were amazing and really helpful. Most of their English was limited too, so we worked together to bridge the language gap. Taxis are hard to find in the area, and they called one for me, which helped a lot. The rooms are cozy and well cared for, and the hotel is within walking distance of Mipple. It has everything you need as a traveler. I'd absolutely recommend it!

The location is convenient for exploring Amanohashidate, with shops and restaurants nearby. Rooms are compact but functional, with comfortable beds and nice amenities. Like other dependable Fairfield properties around Japan, this hotel is clean, quiet, and well maintained. The staff are polite, helpful, and speak good English.
