We were glad to be so near the train station, especially since we were there to go hiking. The room was clean, and the shared space felt tidy and comfortable. The restaurant and bar were closed both nights, even though the posted hours suggested they’d be open. We found somewhere to eat about a 10-minute walk away, so it wasn’t a big problem. My other gripe was the thin walls. We could hear our neighbors snoring at night. Aside from those two things, we had a good stay.

The place itself is nice, but I’d suggest somewhere quieter if you aren’t traveling with a group. Several groups were still having fun after midnight, in rooms and downstairs at the bar. Good for them, honestly, but I couldn’t sleep. The traditional walls do very little to block sound, and most rooms sleep around four, so having a group next door seems quite possible. Staff were either away or didn’t think the noise was an issue. The waste bins also filled up during our stay.

The rooms and facilities were clean and modern, and the staff were so nice. We really enjoyed our time at 4S Stay and would happily recommend it for exploring the Miyoshi area. The food was great too. Getting around is easier with a rental car, and a heads-up that the walls are thin. We didn’t mind, but it’s good to know.

Such a cool, clean place, with lovely traditional rooms and really friendly staff. The food and coffee were outstanding too.
