We extended our stay because we were so comfortable here, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Morioka. The central location made it easy to walk around, even though the hotel is close to and above a bus terminal. Our twin room was quiet, well arranged, and comfortable, with good beds and all the amenities we needed. Breakfast was plentiful and excellent for us as Western-style eaters. The staff were wonderful throughout, going out of their way to help guests.

We weren’t sure what to expect since there aren’t many photos of the place, and we missed the evening music and drinks, but we had a great stay. The staff were genuinely warm and the service was top notch. The rooms are thoughtfully designed and made us feel very comfortable. There’s also a free indoor public bath for hotel guests, which was perfect in the cold weather. The hotel is above the bus station. Fukuda Pan, a famous bakery in Morioka, is on the first floor, and there’s a craft beer brewery on the second. Guests can also park for free at nearby lots. Go ahead and book it!

We hesitated a little before booking, but were glad we went with this place. The rooms are much larger than standard Japanese hotel rooms, and this boutique hotel has everything you’d expect from a big chain. Nina - San deserves a special mention for being so courteous and warm. We loved our stay and would book here again on our next Morioka visit.
