It’s very easy to get to, with the station nearby and restaurants and car rentals close at hand. The room climate controls worked really well, and the staff were nice and helpful. I’d recommend it if you need a place to stay in Morioka.

The room stayed at 25°C the whole time because the thermostat didn’t work, which was much too warm for sleeping comfortably. Temperature control is basic, whatever the age of the building. If they can’t get that right, the rest doesn’t matter. After nearly two weeks in Japan, this was the worst hotel we stayed at.

We were pleased with the room and the service, and breakfast was delicious. The hotel is right beside Morioka train station, and the staff were professional and helpful.

The staff are great, and the location is great for a hotel. The mattress is very comfortable, the pillows are memory foam, and the sheets are super soft. There’s a water heater in the room for morning coffee or tea. The room has its pluses and minuses. Since the hotel was built a while ago, it hasn’t gained more space over time, and the restrooms could use an update.

The rooms get hot, and the AC doesn’t work at all. I’d avoid staying here in summer.
