Tototo Morioka - Hostel

Dera-san was welcoming and explained the house rules and gave useful advice. A few of us got to explore the neighborhood with him and visit some really cool places. Whether you're traveling through Morioka or Japanese and just passing by, this is a lovely little place to stay. I'd come back to Morioka for another stay here.

The rooms were spacious. I shared one with two other people and we were comfortable. Everyone was considerate in the shared areas, and Dale-san was kind and had plenty of useful tips about local events, food, and sights. He also walks you through the property carefully. It's a remodeled storehouse, so sound carries through the building. Quiet hours run from 23:30-7:00. There's no curfew, and the place is around a 30-minute walk from Morioka Station with lots of attractions nearby.

I slept really well and have nothing but praise for Takuji Onoddera. He's turned this place into a lovely, well-organized accommodation with an enhanced living space. Fantastic place, the best-organized accommodation I've come across. Picco Bello. Good luck!

I liked that the house rules meant I could sleep without someone waking me at 3 a.m. with a hairdryer. Dela-San is very welcoming and has clearly thought through the details to make the place feel homely and give it a great atmosphere. His tip led me to the morning market, which I wouldn't have found otherwise, and I'd recommend it. Morioka was so lovely that I extended my stopover by a night after originally planning just one on the way to Sapporo. I'll definitely return if I'm in Japan again.
