Ocean View House Churaumi

You’ll want a car for this place. It’s tucked away on a hill, and the roads around here are narrow, so I hope you enjoy those as much as we did. Still, it’s close enough to reach all the places you’ll want to see in the western part of the island. A real hidden gem.

The location is up on a hill, and getting to town means a bit of a walk. We should’ve rented a car, so that part was on us. The room itself was very clean, check-in went smoothly, and we could see the sea from the balcony. The service was nice too, including a manual with nearby restaurants and other useful information. One thing to know if you stay here: on two nights, someone, maybe a kid, ran around in the apartment above us for about two hours. We went up and asked them to keep it down the second time. It wasn't the hotel's fault, but please be considerate of the other people in the building.

So far, so good. We got a welcome drink, check-in went fine, and the bed was comfy. The space was organized well. The only thing I missed was a grocery store nearby.

The only real drawback was a faint drain smell from the toilet that stuck around during our stay, and it was a bit unpleasant. Otherwise, the apartment was clean, well equipped, and in a handy location. Check-in was easy, and we had a pleasant stay. A car is definitely useful for getting around.
