We checked into Building B on February 14th and found that customer service had booked us into a room already assigned to other guests. The on-site staff were awful and had no authority to tell us what to do. We waited outside for 1-2 hours with our two 2-year-old children before the problem was sorted out, and didn't get back to our room until after 8 PM. There was no support afterward. I'm very unhappy about the money I spent in Linbei. If you aren't afraid, go see for yourself.

We only had one day here, and I really wished we’d stayed longer. The villa itself is lovely, and it’s an easy walk to “Yakiniku Honbu Ranch,” which was delicious, though you should book ahead. There’s a supermarket about 15 minutes away on foot, open until 10 PM, and Daiso is nearby too. If you’re planning dinner, going around 4 PM for Wagyu beef and other groceries worked as a suggestion. The layout is a little unusual: the kitchen, living room, and shower are upstairs on the third floor, with two bedrooms for four people each below. There’s also an unused mezzanine on the second floor. On the entry level, the bathtub is on the left and the toilet on the right. I was nervous about checking in with the keypad after booking through Agoda. Luckily, the guest next door showed me: press the lock button once, clear the random numbers, then enter the host’s password. It doesn’t lock itself, so press the button again when you head out.

There’s no pool, as other reviews have mentioned. For the price, there are better options around here, and I’m local, so be careful this doesn’t become an unpleasant start to your trip. The place may work for a big group, but basic hotel service and amenities were lacking. There was no soap by the sink, and the bedside outlets didn’t work. Check-in was supposed to be after 6 PM, but this unmanned place hadn’t sent me the entry password. I called the company repeatedly for about 40 minutes without an answer, then finally got a call back from a contractor’s cell phone asking, “What’s up?” The response was mediocre. When I explained I couldn’t get in, they showed no remorse and just gave me the password. I asked why the company would leave its phone unreachable and guests unable to check in, and they said they’d let me know.

We arrived to find trash by the door and beds left messy by the previous guests. After Agoda tried to help us reach the host, our calls went unanswered. The agency gave us the host’s number, and we managed to communicate using Google Translate since the staff spoke only Japanese. At first they suggested we put up with the room for one night and said cleaners would come the next day. We thought that was unreasonable and asked to move to the next building instead. Eventually they gave us the code for a room in Building F for the night, then asked us to move our bags back to our original room in Building B by 3 PM the next day. They did cooperate with the move. The condition of Building B was poor: the third-floor living room was dim, with a light only in the kitchen; the kitchen tools were moldy and some cookware rusty; the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned properly; algae was in the pool; and the first-floor headboard was dusty. It was a very disappointing stay, with little help finding a solution, no compensation afterward, and very poor value for money.
