I worried a little about the cockroaches people mentioned in other reviews, but we didn’t see that at all during our May stay, and it was very comfortable. Being surrounded by nature, we did get the occasional moth and stink bug, though they weren’t a problem even when we went out by the pool at night. The private villa on Sesoko had a sea view and nothing else nearby, just nature, so we could enjoy ourselves late without worrying about noise. The pool was a good size, with plenty of floats and inflatable rings, and having a BBQ beside it was great. There were lots of towels, plus a washing machine and gas dryer ready to use, which was reassuring for a longer stay.

There were pale ochre insects, about 2 cm long, all over the grounds when we arrived the first night, probably drawn to the entrance and hotel name lights. There must have been more than a hundred. By morning there were fewer, but they were still around, and some had even got into the car. One night I dropped something in the car, switched on my phone light, and two came out. I screamed. It was already dark when we got back from outings, and I felt depressed each day about returning to the inn. The room’s insecticide wasn’t enough, so I bought more at a convenience store and fought the ones at the entrance and in the car each morning and evening. I think staying here would be hard unless you bring someone who’s good with insects.

The rooftop sauna was fun, then I jumped straight into the pool instead of using a cold plunge. We also had a great BBQ beside the pool. It was a private, relaxing stay in quiet surroundings, and the interior was clean and pleasant. Supermarkets and convenience stores were about a five-minute drive away, so getting supplies wasn’t a problem. I really liked this villa.

There were cockroach-like bugs all around inside and outside the room, and some even got into the car. It was awful. Worse, there were two beehives on the sofa by the pool and another directly above the BBQ area. Bees were flying around, and the kids were scared to use the pool. I had to buy insecticide for the hives myself and left it there, but the place never contacted me. They still haven’t answered my inquiries about the beehives. Their response was terrible, they ignored my calls, and I didn’t feel any sincerity from how careless they were. I’m never going back.
