The vegetarian and vegan food was very limited for me. I was left with rice, fries, and salad, and even the tofu dish contained meat. The staff were lovely, though, and the rooms were very nice, with the most comfortable mat beds we had during our three weeks in Japan. We also had a relaxing getaway, with lovely onsens, beautiful yakatas where you could choose the print and size, and really fun karaoke rooms with lots of English options. My friends enjoyed the amazing food and drink choices, and everything was included.

We were there for just one night in October 2025, and I loved every moment. The massage chair was nice, and there was an onsen followed by complimentary drinks and ice cream. Loved it.

The bay view from our room was beautiful, and the garden out front was lovely too. I liked that they provide traditional clothing to wear. It was fun trying something new, and could also mean less laundry on a longer trip, though you'll need to look up how to put it on. The place felt a little fancy but never pretentious, so I was comfortable throughout. Breakfast and dinner were included, and the rooms were high quality, which made the price feel justified. There were also free drinks in the foyer from 2pm, including some good alcohol, which helped make the cost feel worthwhile.

A nice onsen resort with a good dinner, free drinks like beer and highballs, and supper as well. There's a shuttle to the train station for a small fee.

We'd happily stay here again if we return to Kii-Katsuura. TAOYA, formerly Yukai Resort Koshinoyu, is the best hotel in Kii-Katsuura, with lovely sea-view rooms and balconies, and a delicious buffet for dinner and breakfast. Beer and other drinks were free, and the service staff were very courteous. The hotel is now called TAOYA.
