We were a group of a couple in their 70s, a couple in their 40s, and two elementary school kids staying in the Moon Wing. The kids had a good time in the pool and watching YouTube on the projector. I think younger guests would enjoy the facilities, though they were a bit complicated and may not be as much fun for older people. The breakfast rice with raw egg was better than I expected, and the room was thoroughly cleaned. I was most disappointed by the gap between what social media advertised and what we got. The all-you-can-drink offer had only beer and lemon sour for alcohol, and apple juice and Calpis for kids. Drinks couldn’t be taken into the room, and the 8 PM closing time was a letdown. Snacks were limited to two kinds of wafers, two kinds of cheese crackers, and candy. The all-you-can-eat ice cream was soft and melted, with frost all over it, so it wasn’t appealing. The activities were all set up for guests to do themselves. Even the festival stalls were just laid out, which disappointed the children, who had pictured a real festival. Karaoke volume could only be changed by staff, but nobody answered when we called the front desk about a problem. When I went to reception, there was just one staff member, who seemed completely overwhelmed. I waited, explained what was wrong, and they came back later but couldn’t fix it. They said they’d return, but after an hour they still hadn’t. The wood-burning stove I’d requested wasn’t set up either. They did take care of it after I called to remind them. At 30,000 yen per person without dinner, it felt far too expensive.

We had a really enjoyable family stay, with plenty to do: 24-hour baths, unlimited ice cream🍦, a smoking experience, hot spring egg making, kids’ buggy rides, and festival games. There’s also a viewpoint with a view of Mount Ibuki after a ten-minute hike. We could use the free BBQ area in the morning with our own food, and they provided basics like plates and chopsticks. In the front desk area, there was unlimited beer, chu-hi, snacks, sweets, and popcorn, too.♫

We enjoyed spending the evenings there, with plenty of activities to try. The staff were kind, and the facilities, including the BBQ area and shared restrooms, were clean and easy to use.

We stayed in a cabin that welcomes dogs. It was nicely designed and well looked after, and the food was delicious. The friendly staff made it feel comfortable.
