Dinner was the highlight, with a different hot pot each night. Breakfast didn't have much variety, but it was enough to keep us going through a full day of skiing. The twin room for three was neither large nor too cramped, and there was enough space for our luggage. The onsen was great, and the lounge was relaxing, with nice music and hot tea. Really hope to come back next year!

I stayed in room 102, which was really spacious, with a living room as well as a bedroom with four single beds. The ski resort view was beautiful, and the room had a toilet and shower. The inn itself was clean and comfortable, the meals were delicious, and all the staff were friendly and gave us great service. For location, I think it's the best ski-in, ski-out inn at Tsugaike ski resort. The gondola is a convenient distance whether you're heading down or climbing up, and there are restaurants and convenience stores nearby. One of my best stays.

I stayed six nights and checked out yesterday. The gondola and chairlift are right in front, and the convenience store is a minute away. The room was comfortable, and the staff and owner were lovely. Lift tickets and ski rentals here are really well priced. Dinner was super nice, with a different meal every evening, from shabu shabu to hot pot to sukiyaki. The beef, pork, and chicken were all good. Breakfast was standard but enough for skiing all day and skipping lunch. Weekends got a bit busy, but there was chocolate in the lounge and my kid loved it. The hot bath was good for unwinding after skiing, though my wife said the water on the women's side was a bit too hot. A few times I saw the gentlemen carefully cleaning the boot slippers in the basement, which really impressed me. The room was quite nice, everything was arranged perfectly, and the staff were nice. Definitely recommend it, it's been one of my best travel stays. Thanks a lot, Aya san.

What made the biggest impression on us was how hospitable the owners and staff were. Aya-san handled our online booking and questions quickly, picked us up herself at the bus stop, and was always around with a smile. She was also there whenever we needed her at the counter. Her son took care of the kitchen and made sure we had a different menu for each of our four nights, and her husband drove us to the bus terminal on our last day. We chose this hotel because it's close to Tsugaike Kogen Ski Resort and its long beginner slope. You can ski right in and out, so we could come back in the morning, take off our gear, eat lunch and rest in our room, then head back out. For three adults, the room size was decent, with two beds at each end and enough room between them to open our luggage. There's a separate toilet and shower. No lift, but the hotel only has three floors. The massage chair outside our room was heavenly after skiing. There are laundry facilities, a small onsen, and a lounge with free coffee and even chocolate fondue on Christmas days. The nearest rental shop is two minutes away, though hauling skis and boots back uphill to the hotel can be a bit of a workout. If the pillows weren't so soft and the room Wi-Fi stronger, I'd have called it a perfect stay.
