The rooms are dated, but spacious and comfortable, and good value for the price. It’s well located within walking distance of Nagasaki station, the port, and the tram, with a small park and convenience store nearby. Some staff could be more helpful. When I asked for directions to Inasayama, one staff member told me to ask at another hotel. I did, and they were very helpful.

I found this hotel after missing the last train home following a drinking party in Nagasaki City. At 4,700 yen, it was incredibly affordable, though I was a little unsure about the low price and figured I only needed somewhere to sleep for the night. The room was clean, the bathroom was spotless though a bit small, and the front desk service was excellent. I had no complaints, and the value for the money is hard to beat. I didn't get breakfast this time, but the website photos made it look tasty, and at 1,200 yen I'd try it on a future late night in Nagasaki. I also saw a power key in the room for the first time, which was interesting (video). I don't think the door has an auto-lock, so please let me know if it does.

The soundproofing could be better since the building is older. Still, I recommend the tatami room for the good value. I was nervous because there weren't any reviews, but breakfast was delicious and had a home-cooked feel, even though the menu stayed the same.
