ANA Crowne Plaza Hotel Grand Court Nagoya by IHG

The breakfast had plenty of variety, though it wasn’t amazing for vegans, and the coffee was quite bad. There was a little train noise, but it really wasn’t a problem. The hotel was fantastic, with epic views and delightful staff. The rooms were quite large and well maintained, and they replenished the water bottles daily. Great bathroom too. All in all, an excellent hotel that I highly recommend.

Kanayama Station is right beside the hotel and links to Meitetsu, JR, and subway lines, so getting around Nagoya or reaching the airport is convenient. It’s a stop or two from Nagoya’s main hub, which also means the area is quieter than around Nagoya Station. The rooms are spacious, with views across Nagoya and, on a clear day, the surrounding mountains. The breakfast buffet is substantial and includes local choices such as Nagoya style chicken wings and eel rice. Service is generally good, and the staff are friendly.

We stayed here twice on our Japan trip. Both times the staff recognized our IHG status, and we even got a complimentary suite upgrade on the first stay. They were busy but still took care of what we needed. The hotel is near a train station and plenty of convenience stores, and has the necessary amenities plus some extras. A good hotel in Nagoya.

The rooms are spacious and laid out nicely, and there’s a fun lounge and restaurant on the 30th floor. From the 20-plus floors, the views over Nagoya are incredible. Great spot right by the train and subway station. 10/10!
