Hamilton Hotel Black

We had a convenient stay for six nights, and I’d definitely come back. The room size was acceptable for the rate, and it had almost everything we needed. Breakfast was simple but more than enough to get the day started. The staff were courteous and helpful throughout. Thanks so much.

The room was small, but quiet enough to get some rest. The location was handy too: Shirakawa Park and its museums are nearby, and a left turn out of the hotel followed by about a ten-minute walk takes you to a big nightlife area. The front desk staff were kind and helpful. There’s free breakfast, nothing fancy, and a free self-serve welcome drink with alcohol available if you want it. That last perk is almost an automatic five stars for me, but I’ll keep going.

My wife and I stayed at this inexpensive hotel in July 2016. It had the basic facilities, and the subway station wasn’t far away. After a good night’s sleep, we checked out with our bags and went to the town centre for brunch before picking up our rental car there.

The only real hassle was getting to the Fushima subway line, since that meant walking through Nagoya Railway station. We stayed here to visit the Maglev train musuem and the nearby electricity musuem for children, which is free and provided by Chiba electricity. Across the road there’s excellent sushi and a yummy Hawaiian BBQ restaurant. The hotel was excellent value, and we enjoyed the free happy hour and breakfast.
