Oyo Ryokan Koijigahama Kuroshio Tahara Irago

We stayed one night this weekend with a guest from LA, and they gave us two rooms, one for our guest and one for my wife and me. Our room could sleep five, with two beds and a tatami area, so there was plenty of space for us. It also had a unit bathroom with a toilet, tub, and shower. The grooming amenities weren't five-star fancy, but for the price they were perfectly adequate, as was the room. The food was superb, and I doubt you could get cooking this good for the same money in the city. The hostess was friendly, though one staff member was a little terse. The shared spa was small but decent. I wasn't keen on the deodorizer they used there, the smell was quite unpleasant. Still, I was completely satisfied with the stay. For the price, the room was very comfortable and the food was excellent. My wife and I plan to return with another guest this summer. I rarely recommend my favorite places because I like being able to visit without a crowd, but I'll make an exception here. It isn't very popular, and I'm concerned it could eventually close. I hope it stays open forever.

The building looks old from the outside, but it was clean inside. The food was tasty and the fish was fresh, with filling portions. I stayed with both dinner and breakfast included, and would be happy to come back.
