Hotel 1-2-3 Nagoya Marunouchi

The place was clean, and there is free breakfast and a coffee machine, but I had a really bad experience with the staff. If you aren't Japanese or don't speak Japanese, I wouldn't stay here. An older woman who spoke some English was extremely rude and racist toward us. The hotel has only three parking spots, and you can reserve one ahead of time, which we hadn't known. We pulled in temporarily while trying to figure out where to park, and she came running down, repeatedly yelling at us to get out immediately. Then we were told we couldn't check in yet and had to return later. The next morning we asked for takeaway cups, and she said the machine was being cleaned. It had clearly already been cleaned, and it seemed to me she simply didn't want to help because we were foreigners.

I ended up here overnight because of a flight problem, and it was cheap at the time. Breakfast was included, and the main city areas weren't too far to walk to. The room was small, but you get what you pay for.

The breakfasts were great, and the hotel was kept really clean. My room was tiny, but I was by myself and wasn't spending the daytime there, so it didn't matter much. The staff were very helpful too.

It was okay, nothing amazing but not bad either. The free massage chairs were a nice perk, and it's close to nagoya castle.
