Nagoya Rich Hotel Nishiki

The cafe and bookshop on the ground floor were a lovely part of the stay, and the hotel staff were so sweet while helping with check-in and cafe items. The room was very clean, had a well-stocked bathroom, and gave me lots of room to relax. As soon as I walked in, it felt cozy and calming, and I wished I'd spent longer in Nagoya. From my room I could watch the sunset reflect off a high-rise, with birds flying in patterns. I probably just got lucky with that view. This was one of my favorite hotels on my Japan trip, and I'd love to stay again.

It's a bit of a walk from the station, but the room was quiet and really clean. It was small, though there was space for a reading couch, and the rain shower was lovely. The bed facing straight at the entrance was hard for me to get used to because of fengshui. The bed itself was okay, but the blanket was too short for my 176cm height, so my feet stuck out when I covered myself. A nightrobe was provided, and the staff were very friendly. There was a free drink at the cafe downstairs, and I could borrow books from the little library. English books were very limited. Aside from the bed and blanket, everything else was great for me.

A cozy, charming place for a short stay, especially if you like reading. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the book selection is lovely, though most of it is in Japanese. We were offered a complimentary welcome drink in the small cafe area. The location is central, about a 15-minute walk from Nagoya Station and three minutes from Fushimi Station. I had a very pleasant stay at Lamp Light Books Hotel in Nagoya.

The rooms were comfortable, clean, and quiet, and we made good use of the laundromat on the ground floor. The neighborhood has lots of very good restaurants and convenience stores. Fushimi station connects well to the city center and Ghibli Park. It's a 15-minute walk from Osaka station, and we managed it with our suitcases. We were a family of four in two double rooms. The rooms felt a little small for our large suitcases, and the staff were kind enough but not especially warm or welcoming. Those were the only downsides. There isn't a restaurant, but there is a decent breakfast selection. I'd recommend it for couples or solo travelers, or for families who don't mind sleeping in separate rooms.
