Toyoko Inn Nagoya-eki Sakuradori Shinkan

The room feels a little more high-tech than at other Toyoko Inn branches I've visited, and the toilet is slightly bigger. It's also a new branch. The location is about a 10-minute walk, two blocks from Nogoya Train Station, with a convenience store around the corner and several restaurants across the street. Breakfast was the letdown. I'm used to the more traditional Japanese spread at Toyoko Inn, with rice, miso soup, dishes, and basic pantry items. Here it was soup and bread, with eggs, mayo, tuna, and similar toppings. That may suit some travelers, but I'm more traditional and bread isn't for me in the morning. This is also the first branch I've visited that didn't provide the DHC face care set.

Free breakfast, clean, spacious rooms, and a reasonable price, with the amenities I expect from a business hotel. The location helps too: it's about a five-minute walk from Nagoya station, among bars and restaurants and near local convention centers. Toyoko Inn is one of the better business hotel chains, and it's my usual choice whenever I can stay at one. For me, this is the best place to stay.

The building and room equipment are new. It's a bit far from the station, though. Breakfast is limited to bread, soup, coffee, and yogurt.

The room's new interior features, especially the LED lighting and restroom, made a strong impression on me. Breakfast was nice, and the location is convenient.
