It’s not too expensive and the location in the area is okay, but the stay was disappointing. There are 40 beds on one floor and just 3 showers for everybody. The place feels dated and isn’t very clean, and the beds weren’t comfortable. There are international plugs and decent storage, but the dorm still felt like a row of rabbit cages. Everything costs extra: towels, a locker key, and even leaving your bags. You can’t use your own lock, which is pretty shameful for a hostel.

This is a budget hostel, and the bathroom, shower, and washer/dryer setup is adequate. The beds are comfortable, and so are the blankets. It was 53 degrees last night, with outdoor temperatures in the low 50s, and they kept me comfortable.

The only real plus is the location. The shower is old and dirty, and I saw cockroaches at night. The AC shuts off around 10am, so the whole floor gets hot and humid. Lights stay bright overnight, and some dorm beds are right by the washroom and shower doors, with people coming and going through the night. Noise is a major problem. The shower room, laundry machines, and wash basins are all together on one floor, so there are too many restrictions on when you can use them because it gets so loud. With no soundproofing, there are snorers all around you too, and you can’t get proper darkness or quiet.

The rooftop and kitchen were nice, but we weren’t happy with our four-night stay. Staff were unfriendly, started vacuuming at 9 in the morning, and were very strict about checkout. We also weren’t allowed to use the vending at reasonable times, like 9am. Our floor was one huge room with more than 60 (?) beds, so the morning noise was hardly surprising.
