Hotel Resol Trinity Naha

The breakfast had lots of choices and was good, with some different dishes appearing each day. Parking at the nearby carpark at Donki for JPY1000 per day was acceptable. Those were the good parts of our 3 day stay. I booked through Agoda. The notice mentioned room cleaning on the 4th day, but didn't say there would be a JPY1,500 charge if we wanted daily cleaning. Had I known about that charge, I wouldn't have booked. The room was dusty, and the carpet in both the room and hallway looked dirty. My wife didn't have allergies at another hotel, but felt very uncomfortable after moving here. The trash and used towel collection setup was bad. With guests putting rubbish in the hallways, it felt like living in a dormitory rather than a hotel, and I personally couldn't accept towels being placed directly on the hallway floor. We weren't comfortable staying here and may avoid this hotel brand in future.

Matsuoka was a big help when I was trying to understand the local OKICA card system, which is surprisingly different from the IC cards used elsewhere in Japan. He seemed to be the only staff member fluent in English. The other staff were friendly and willing to help, but had to rely on translation apps, which sometimes made communication slower. The breakfast buffet was a highlight, with a range of local Okinawan dishes that brought something distinctive and flavorful to the stay. Joining the hotel’s membership program also gets guests discounts on both room bookings and breakfast, which adds good value.

The hotel is in an area with night clubs, so it may not suit families with children. My standard twin room on the river side was much larger than the previous room I had in Hakata, and the view was nice. The common room, which is also the reception area, looked especially stunning at sunset.

A simple hotel, but it had everything I needed, including a bath house just for customers. The price felt fair for the service they provide. :)
