I bought the Ryukyu glass cup on the left! I learned for the first time here that these cups are heat resistant.

It's right in the heart of Kokusai Street, so getting around is easy. There are countless restaurants and bars nearby, and the bars in Makishi and Sakaemachi are within walking distance. The hotel is old but well maintained. You pick up the basic amenities yourself at the front desk. The refrigerator keeps things nicely cold, which is very convenient.

The fire alarm kept going off because, apparently, equipment on the 3rd floor had malfunctioned. My daughter was frightened and annoyed by all the noise. When we called the front desk, they said we had to wait until they could work out what was causing it. Thankfully, it turned out to be that issue, but a situation like this is unacceptable in Okinawa and raises concerns about what could happen in a real emergency. We stayed with three people in August 2019. We booked a package, so I don't know the exact price, but the hotel was inexpensive and right on Kokusai Street, which was fantastic. Parking at the hotel is about 1000 yen a day. We found a suitable paid lot for about 800 yen per 12 hours and walked over to check in. The room was small, but we only needed it for one night to get a good night's sleep on our first night, so we gave it five stars. The street is noisy, but the soundproofing is excellent. Breakfast wasn't a standard buffet, you could choose a Western or Japanese light meal. Despite the alarm problem, this is one of the best options if you're looking for an inexpensive hotel in a great location.
