We were welcomed so warmly, and had a great time watching squirrels with the owner. Breakfast was generous and delicious, with fresh coffee, and there’s laundry available. We stayed two nights in August 2024 at this small family-run cottage. The rooms are small, and getting up to the sleeping area means climbing a steep ladder, but it has everything you need. No TV, though you probably won’t miss it.

You’ll need to plan ahead for dinner: the nearest Seicomart or Lawson is a 10-minute drive away, so pick something up in town or at a convenience store. The room has the basics for brushing your teeth and showering, and is well equipped otherwise. The stairs to the bedding area are steep and narrow, and there’s no TV. The Wi-Fi was weak, as advertised, but still good enough for me to stream a whole night of GoT S1 without much trouble. A peaceful place to stay if you’re driving on a road trip.

A quiet, peaceful place, especially if that’s what you’re looking for as a traveler. The owners are very friendly and even stayed up to wait for our late-night check-in. Recommended.

Such a fun stay in these well-kept, really clean little cabins. The owners built almost everything themselves, including the cabins and all the furniture, which is amazing. They’re friendly and helpful, and can pick you up from or drop you at the station if you need a ride.

The cottage was warm and cozy when we arrived because the owners had turned on the heater for us. There’s plenty of parking, and the place is very clean. Breakfast is filling, delicious, and Western style. We also had a patio. A really nice place, even for a week or longer, and the owners are amazing.
