The beach is right there, with a reef that's worth snorkeling, and there are plenty of local places to eat within walking distance or a short drive. The accommodation itself felt luxurious and comfortable, with a bath inside and another one on the roof outside. It’s such a peaceful spot, too. You can sit listening to the waves and birds with hardly anything disturbing you. What a heavenly few days of relaxing. Thank you!
The beach and surrounding area looked nothing like the online photos. The beach was neglected, with driftwood and rubbish, and there was very little tourist infrastructure nearby. The pictures online seemed heavily photoshopped, so please look at the attached photos for what it really looks like. We also had serious concerns about the accommodation itself. The bathroom was covered in mold, which triggered severe allergic reactions, and we had to get medical treatment during our stay. The surveillance cameras made the place feel like we were constantly being watched. The owner's messages added to that feeling and left us feeling unsafe. Despite asking several times, we only got part of our money back. We found this deeply unprofessional for a Booking.com property. The stay was terrible, and we can't recommend it to anyone.
The beach is easy to get to from the room, and restaurants and shops are nearby. Getting to the property and finding the room were both simple. Inside, the room's quality and standards were obvious right away. My guest and I were so comfortable that we hardly wanted to go out. The bathroom looked great, and the hot shower was soothing. It saddens me that I can't stay here forever. I'll definitely rent this room again in the future.
The view from the room was on point, and the place itself was really quiet. You'll need a car to get around, though. Parking in front of the hotel is free. The room size was okay, but in winter the floor was cold. There were only four hangers by the door, so there was barely anywhere to hang coats or clothes. The laundry room was locked on our second night.
Sitting on the porch and listening to the waves was one of my favorite parts. The beach right in front of Casa Dumai was lovely for walks at sunrise or sunset, and Nakijin castle ruins are close enough to reach on foot. You'll need a car for other trips, and there's free parking in front of Casa Dumai. We loved our three nights and four days at Casa Dumai Ocean Villa in Nakijn. The room was very clean, self-check-in was easy, and the host was quick and relaxed in her communication. The café downstairs and the two big bathtubs, one inside and one outside on the balcony, were especially nice. It was the perfect birthday getaway, and we wished we could have stayed longer.
