KOURI Ocean Moon Cottage

The morning scenery was lovely, but construction noise from two houses being built started early. My friend had hoped to use the Jacuzzi, only to find it wasn’t usable, which was a real disappointment. We also spotted a few insects in the pool. Check-in at 3 pm and checkout at 10 am made for a very tight stay, and the homeowner couldn’t extend checkout. That was a shame. We came in a 7-seater, and the mountain road to the accommodation was incredibly narrow. My friend handled it well, but the rearview mirror was damaged, and it would’ve helped to be warned about the road beforehand. We’d been looking forward to a BBQ, but that night there were so many mosquitoes outside that it was frightening, so we ended up cooking our own food. There were also several cockroach-like creatures and other unidentified bugs inside. Insecticide, swatters, and mosquito coils were available, which helped, but the owner should have warned us that the insect problem was serious. All of us are scared of insects. If bugs don’t bother you, it’s a safe place to stay. The scenery was beautiful, and that’s the one star. The rest of the experience was very poor.

The room was clean and pleasant, and the pool was spacious. We also found the outdoor BBQ grill handy, and the room had a great view. Getting there was the hard part: it was difficult to find, and the nearby roads were quite narrow.

We were three generations traveling together, and the stay became a lovely family memory. We went on March 23rd and 24th, and the view was even better than I’d expected. Everything was in great shape, from the rooms and pool to the other facilities, and the place was very clean. I’d happily stay here again. Thank you so much!

The cottage had an amazing view, and the room was clean, so we had no trouble during our stay. Having a pool was a big plus too (^^)/. I’d come back here on another Okinawa trip.
