Dinner was really good, a 10/10, and the staff were good too. The tents could use a thorough cleaning, though, and sunrise light comes in. The two single beds pushed together had a big gap between them. Finding the place was difficult because there was very little signage. Watch your step at the entrance, where the old sleepers are uneven. My daughter tripped there and got about 40 splinters in her hands and knees. For the price, it wasn’t good value.

We came expecting just a camping tent, but there was much more to it. The staff were amazing, the location and views were superb, and the facilities were great. The sauna in the middle of the site was hands down the best I’ve been to. I’d really recommend it if you’re going to Naoshima for the island and its museums. It’s a peaceful little paradise.

The food was great, and the staff were super nice. It was a bit too hot inside the cabins, but the sauna was really cool. I’d stay here just for the experience.

We stayed in an ocean-view dome, and I’d recommend paying extra for that view if it’s available. The dome was a really nice glamping experience, with AC to take the edge off the summer heat and a small fridge. The website asks guests to bring only non-alcoholic drinks, but there’s a good selection to order on your phone. Dinner was cook-your-own in a private outdoor dining area. The staff were friendly, and the sauna was one of the nicest we’ve ever used. We went in the morning, but had to request it the night before. It closes at 7am, so make sure you use it before requesting dinner, or you may run out of time. You could probably ask to use it later in the evening for an extra charge, though I didn’t ask.

The manager was so kind and helpful. We had bikes, but it was raining, so he drove us to the restaurant 😍. The tents were super comfortable, with Japanese toilets like everywhere in the country. There was a nice campfire, and a lovely pair of raccoons appeared from time to time.
