Hiroko and Dane were wonderful hosts, happy to answer our many questions about Japan and its quirks. We spent three nights here while visiting Kyoto and Nara, and liked being somewhere away from the crowds. The rooms and facilities were spotless, and the place had a warm feel. Five stars from us.

We booked two rooms on the same day we checked in, and the price was very reasonable. Even at the last minute, the hosts changed the breakfast menu for us. They were kind and welcoming, and their fluent English and affordable rates made our Nara stay comfortable and cozy. Highly recommended for foreign visitors.

The local train station is conveniently close, and everything was very clean. The hosts were amazing. I’d definitely recommend visiting!

It’s in a quiet area, about a ten-minute walk from Yamato-Saidaiji station. The room, owners, and breakfast were all great. A very good B&B, and I’d highly recommend it if you’re visiting nearby.
