Getting to the hotel from Kintetsu-Nara station takes a fairly long walk, which was a bit difficult with luggage. It's also a distance from Nara City's main shopping area. We were only there briefly, so taking taxis around worked fine for us. Our twin room for four was quite spacious, the bathroom was very good, and the bed was comfortable.

Of all the places we stayed in Japan and South Korea on this trip, this may have been the best. The room was great for the price, and the location made it convenient to see the city. Staff answered our questions helpfully both online before we arrived and during our stay.

Free parking was a nice bonus. The neighborhood is quiet, even though Nara's most popular sights are within walking distance. Our room had plenty of space for international travelers with big suitcases. We also really liked the Japanese home-style shower room, which has a feature to speed up drying clothes.

The room was our favorite of the five places we stayed in Japan: roomy, with comfortable beds and lots of thoughtful touches like pajamas, an umbrella stand, shoehorn and toiletries. The bathroom was large, modern and clean, and there was a kettle and microwave. Check-in and checkout were easy. The location is quiet and handy, under five minutes on foot to the shopping area and about seven minutes to Nara Park and Toda-ji. Our host was easy to reach and helpful, and sorted out any problems quickly. Great value, and I'd stay here again.
