We found a FamilyMart and 7-Eleven within five minutes, and Yakinikukotora nearby was handy for a late meal. Taxi drivers could find the hotel easily. Our Large Twin Room had separate bath and toilet areas, which worked well for a family. The bath was styled like a traditional bathhouse, with a stool and low mirror that made bath time fun. The room was clean, non-smoking, and free of smells or bugs. Towels and bottled water were left daily, even when we had the Do Not Disturb sign up, in a bag outside the door. Staff were friendly and the lifts were spacious. It’s a good budget choice, clean and reasonably comfortable. Having a physical key and open access to guest floors made the place feel dated, though we had no security problems.

It’s a quiet spot and a nice place for a stay of two or three days. There’s a smoking room on the fourth floor. Nara Park is about a 30-minute walk away, or you can take the shuttle bus. The slippers are funny, very feminine room slippers 🤣. Worth staying.

You can leave your bags by reception after checkout and pick them up later, and they provide sample-sized skincare like toner, cleanser, and moisturizer. The hotel is in a very good location, but the interior feels quite old. The public bath was overcrowded, mostly with seniors. Restaurant staff didn’t seem very welcoming to foreigners, and they hardly spoke English.

The room was clean and practical, though the pillow was too soft for me. There’s a self-service luggage room with plenty of locks. The hotel is in a great spot, just a two-minute walk from Nara station. Otherwise, I had a good stay.

We got a good-sized room for what we paid, twice the size of the one we had at the hotel across the station. I was surprised to see guests with large tattoos allowed into the hotel’s public bath, since most public onsens and bathhouses in the country usually restrict entry for people with tattoos.
