The calm atmosphere across the rooms and grounds really stood out to me. The comfort felt modern, while the decor and landscaping brought in rustic Japanese touches in a way that worked beautifully. I loved this distinctive hotel and would gladly stay again.

We arrived from the US feeling jet lagged, and the staff took care of everything we needed. The room was warm and cozy, with a wonderful tub and nice amenities, and breakfast was delicious. We also had a delightful dinner at Le un, one of the best meals we've ever had. The inn is conveniently close to the train station, Nara park, and shops. Staff were friendly and helped arrange sightseeing. We highly recommend the hotel. Enjoy beautiful Nara.

Our room in this charming former sake brewery had a private garden view, a tatami room, and a hinoki ofuro. It also had nightingale floors, apparently to stop ninjas sneaking in?

The service was great, but the room and open kitchen really need a deep clean 😅 We had both breakfast and dinner in the kitchen, which was quite dirty and disorganized, with heavy dust on top. At this price, the hygiene didn't meet hotel standards. Even an ordinary izakaya is cleaner. We stayed in room 107. The room itself was nice, but there was mold throughout the bathroom and so much dust on the balcony that we couldn't use it. Trucks and cars passing by made noise in the morning. Lights outside the room stayed on all night, including the middle of the night, so if you're sensitive to light while sleeping, think twice. ¥91068/night + ¥5553 sake , including breakfast and dinner for two persons As other reviews have said, the service was good, but the room and meals weren't worth the price.
