There’s a lovely, cozy feel to this hostel, with a beautiful inner garden. My bed was comfortable and roomy, the place looked very clean, and towels and free lockers in the room were provided. The kitchen is fully equipped if you want to cook, though the stove was broken and temporarily out of service when I was there two days ago. It’s 18 minutes from the train station, with a short walk from there to Nara park and the temples. There’s also a bus stop and supermarket nearby. The host was really nice and gave me a souvenir at checkout. I loved staying here.

The women's dorm was clean, comfortable and nicely organised, and both check-in and checkout were simple. It felt safe and calm. The Wi-Fi barely worked during our stay, though, so planning or looking things up in the evenings was difficult. The toilets were quite a walk from our room, and having the showers outside was inconvenient. One night was fine, but I wouldn't have wanted to stay longer. Still, a lovely place to consider for a short visit.

The owner was friendly, and we could leave our bags by reception after checkout while we went to explore Nara. It's a very simple place with wooden capsule-style bunk beds, and a nice spot to meet other travellers.

I couldn't make it to the accommodation because of a personal situation. Even with only two days' notice, the host kindly agreed to cancel my reservation without an extra charge. I'm very grateful and would recommend dealing with this host.

Good value for the price, with a nice room and facilities. It's a short walk from the main business streets and about 20 minutes from the park.
