The walls are like cardboard, so it gets really noisy when lots of people have rooms. Still, it’s very clean, a good price, and the location couldn’t be better. Great place!

Room 5 is spacious and has its own bathroom. Shops and the train station are very close, and Nara Park is just a 5 minute walk away. You’ll hear people moving around upstairs through the thin walls, which seems hard to avoid in a hostel. Bring your own towel, since the thin Terry cloth ones provided aren’t useful. The shared kitchen is fine, and there were great travelers staying here. The owner might come to your door asking for private payment. Since you can’t cancel a booking.com reservation the same day without a penalty, I’d pay through the booking site to avoid someone coming by at 8pm to ask for money privately.

I stayed three days with my partner, and the location was good. There’s free tea and coffee, too. My only concern was mold in the wall, but otherwise my stay was okay and I have no complaints. I saw the young man working hard a couple of times and greeted him. It’s a hostel, so some travelers can be loud and inconsiderate, while others are mindful of people around them. Thank you!

I really like this small, comfortable hotel. It’s similar to MyStays, only locally run. For me, it beats MyStay!
