Yamato Kogen Bosco Villa

We used the facilities for a soccer tournament. There are two large soccer fields, plus a ground golf course that many people were using.

I stayed without meals. The hotel sits in the middle of nature and has a spacious, beautiful soccer field. It's not new, but the lobby is bright and open. My tatami room had been thoroughly cleaned and was very clean. The indoor bath was spacious and beautiful, and the open-air bath had carbonated water, which was great. The lobby also had a wide selection of drinks, ice cream, and other things for sale. It's an excellent place for group stays, especially for golf, soccer, American football, and other sports. Nara Station is about a 30-minute drive away. Recommended if you want to relax in quiet natural surroundings while sightseeing.

I got about 20 minutes of quiet in the open-air bath and really unwound, enjoying the little carbonated spring, blue sky, and breeze. I’d expected a noisy soak because a group of elementary school rugby players was at camp, but one group was leaving just as I arrived. The changing room was the only loud part; another group showed up later, so I was lucky with my timing. After bowling and bouldering the day before, and a tiring day at work, I badly needed to relax in a bath. It’s still so hot! Maybe I’ve found another hidden gem for a Sunday. Now it’s lunch, then home.

It’s right beside the Ipponmatsu Interchange on the Meihan Expressway, so getting here from Osaka or Nagoya is easy. There’s a ground and ground golf courts, which makes this a really valuable facility. Older people who enjoy ground golf use it often, while holiday periods tend to bring youth sports groups, like youth soccer teams. 👍
