SANU 2nd Home-Kawaguchiko 2nd

So peaceful ☺️

We stayed at SANU 2nd Home Kawaguchiko2nd in Fujikawaguchiko last Nov, booking a unit with a private sauna. It was spotless, well equipped, and felt high quality, and the sauna was the trip’s highlight. The forest around it is lovely and peaceful, and Mt. Fuji looks stunning from the right spot. My unit faced the trees, though, so I couldn’t see the mountain from inside even though it was just behind the forest. I had to walk toward the middle of the property, near the other units, to get a clear view. The location is very remote, with weak phone reception. I had to drive out to get a signal, and since there’s no on-site staff and check-in is self-service, I had to call customer service for help figuring it out. The host had thoughtfully left a first aid kit, which came in handy when I cut my finger cooking. It’s a beautiful, peaceful place for nature and Mt. Fuji views, but it’s worth knowing how remote it is, how limited connectivity can be, and that your unit’s position affects the view.

We’ve now stayed at two of SANU 2nd Home’s places. This second visit was just as enjoyable as the first!
