Hotel Ridge

The rooms are beautifully designed, with fantastic views. It’s a unique place, and the food and staff were exceptional. Everyone was extremely kind, joyful, and professional.

I picked this hotel after hearing a YouTuber I follow for travel ideas rave about it. It was a bit pricey, but I was extremely satisfied with the stay. The staff handled my food allergies attentively, so I could eat without worry. Everything was well maintained, the location was great, and I was very comfortable. I’d definitely come back if I visit Tokushima again.

The meals were wonderful. There were lots of dishes, each carefully prepared and beautifully presented, and everything I tried was delicious. The inn’s warm service and lovely surroundings made it easy to enjoy the luxury of doing nothing, and I want to return soon. Since it’s a small inn, I had the large public bath almost to myself. The private bath in my room had a great view, and I spent nearly an hour getting in and out while listening to music through the wooden speakers provided. The facilities were luxurious and impeccably clean, making for a comfortable stay. I unfortunately got sick during the trip, but the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. I really appreciated it.

All the staff were kind and attentive, and we were able to relax during our stay. The spa water was excellent and pleasantly warm. It was a little small, but it runs on a rotation system, and with few guest rooms we could enjoy it privately. The bathroom and changing room were wonderfully clean. We chose the basic Japanese meal plan. The fresh seafood, including sashimi, and the creatively prepared dishes were enjoyable, though the simmered dishes were a little too strongly seasoned for us. The meat course was just one piece of pork cutlet sandwich. It tasted good, but felt a little disappointing. Breakfast had so many dishes it made us smile, and it took us an hour and a half to finish. The famous large serving of clam soup was the one letdown: the clams were small and the flavor was lacking.
