It’s a bit cramped, but meets APA standards. This location doesn’t have a spa bath floor, which disappointed me. If you want that amenity, the other location is just another block down. It’s still close enough to the station for quick trips to and from Niigata, especially if you have a morning itinerary.

The price was great, under 5000 yen with breakfast using APA's points, but the room was so tiny I could barely move around. It wasn’t very comfortable, though better than I expected for what I paid. The wall was really thin, and a guy in the next room woke me at 6am.

There’s a Lawson right on the ground floor, which is handy for amenities, and there’s also a separate smoking room down there if you book a non-smoking room. The hotel has a spa and an ice machine, while the pool costs extra. Our room was clean and comfortable, the washroom was good, and the staff were polite and helpful. A cozy, comfortable place to stay.

The first-floor restaurant was good, and having a Lawson connected to the hotel was super convenient. The pool wasn’t available to use, though, and the gym had almost nothing besides cardio equipment.

No hassle checking in or out, and the hotel is just a minute’s walk from the station, with stores nearby. The room was small, as is typical in Japan, but had the basic amenities, and the television was large with free VOD at the time. The comfort room was tiny too. Breakfast is at the Sukiya restaurant next door, where you choose from their set menus. The elevator is very small, so with big luggage maybe only two people can fit.
