HOTEL LiVEMAX Niigata Ekimae

The hotel provided all the basic amenities: slippers, air purifier, AC, hair dryer, extension cord, desk, table, chair, mirror, TV, fridge, microwave, cups and glasses, toothbrushes, razors, combs, body sponges, towels, face towels, bath mat, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and yukata. There isn't a hotel parking lot, but there are paid lots nearby. The cheapest overnight option I found was ¥600. I was pregnant and asked the male front desk manager for extra pillows because I needed body support. Even after I explained why, he couldn't accommodate the request. At other livemax hotels, they've been happy to provide them, and he seemed to find it a bother. The room also wasn't properly clean: there was hair by the toilet and a used fake eyelash extension on the bed.

Quiet, modern and clean. I'd stay there again if I'm in Niigata, since it's close to the station.

I had a really enjoyable stay here.

Niigata Station is only a five-minute walk away, with convenience stores and plenty of restaurants nearby, so the location is perfect. The receptionist's English wasn't very good, though thankfully I didn't need to communicate much. The room felt quite old. The bedding may have been replaced, but some stains were still there and wouldn't wash out. The bathroom wasn't very sanitary either. There was uncleaned pubic hair in the drain, and the shower curtain smelled unpleasant.
