The room felt too expensive, hahaha, though I still think the place is worth it. Five stars, even with staff who aren't very fluent in English. We had a language barrier, but they still accommodated me kindly and normally. I was traveling alone, and we couldn't understand each other's words well, though I know a little nihongo. That's how strong I am, LOL. It was around 6:30AM, with snow outside, sugoiii! I booked a room for around ¥6000. It had a free sauna too, and the sauna felt relaxing and good on my stomach, like body toxins were burning away out of nowhere. If you don't want a room, just taking the sauna is really worth it. It includes a bath, so you may not need to check in just for a nice ceramic bathtub if you only want a simple bath. Sauna access costs around ¥500-¥1000 depending on the package. I forgot the details, but it wasn't much. There's also a massage chair for ¥100 per 10minutes. The food was one of the best things. Breakfast was an ¥800 buffet, served only from 6:30-10AM, and it was another payment. I really liked that the staff kept trying to help even when we couldn't understand one another. I recommend this place in Niigata. Hope you enjoy it!

A tidy, small single room in a good area, with good service and a clean hotel and room. A good choice for visitors to Niigata.

The ceramic tile bath was really pleasant, and it became a lovely memory from my stay after work. The front desk staff were all friendly, and the place had a warm, homey feel that was different from a luxury hotel. Thank you. I'd chosen this hotel after reading about the easy walk from the station, the tile bath, and the delicious breakfast. The room was old, but very well cleaned. It was compact and easy to use, with some space on top of the refrigerator. I got to breakfast last, around 8am, and there was only a little fruit left. Maybe they weren't putting out any more. If you want a full meal, it may be better to go earlier. It wasn't as luxurious as an expensive hotel, but the food was homey in a good way and very delicious. I was glad they had raw eggs too, since I like rice with a raw egg on top even when I'm traveling. A staff member said they'd made pumpkin stew for the winter solstice, and it was clear they prepare the food carefully every day.

The room was quiet, and I slept well. There are plenty of bars nearby, even though this is on the side of town away from downtown, so for a night out and somewhere to sleep, the price may be worth it. The front desk staff were so welcoming that I wondered if they had been sent over from the upscale Art Hotel group. The room itself felt like a high-end doya in its colors and atmosphere, though it was old and dim. It faced the courtyard, so there was no view, but at least there was a window. It was meant to be non-smoking, yet a smell lingered, although I could put up with it. The hot water worked and the TV did too. I didn’t feel itchy after sleeping, so I’m sure the linens were clean. Anyway, it was so cheap I guess I can’t complain.

The building seemed a little old, but I relaxed in the ceramic tile bath for about 45 minutes and worked up a good sweat as instructed. It left me feeling completely refreshed. I was drawn in by the bath being free and the location near Niigata Station, and the bus terminal is close by too. The breakfast lived up to the reviews and was delicious. I also got to try the Niigata-produced "L'Eclair" (a type of le ...
