The common areas were clean and comfortable, and there’s a wood-burning stove downstairs that gives the place a calm, cozy feel. The hostel isn’t far from the station, and you can walk there easily if you have the time and feel like it. My dorm bed was spacious and comfortable, but the futon smelled noticeably of male sweat and really needed washing. Showers are on the first floor. If you want a warm room, switch on the heater in advance. The shampoo, conditioner, and body wash all smell lovely. During my stay, an event was running from around 10-12 in the morning until 8 p.m. I couldn’t use the hostel to eat, even though I’d bought groceries to make lunch and dinner, so I had to eat at restaurants and spend extra money. The showers were also unavailable until 9 p.m. It seems like this was a one-off, though, and I was just unlucky with the timing. Otherwise, everything was lovely.
