B&B Izumi Nikko

Izumi is such a sweet person, and he makes a great breakfast, Japanese or American, whichever you choose each day. The room was very clean, with lovely views of the brook and forest.

Nikko gave me an unforgettable stay, thanks to Izumi san. It was such a relaxing atmosphere, and I truly hope to come back before long.

I was the only guest at the property, so the host kindly gave me rides to and from the train station and bus stop. He was exceptional, attentive, helpful, sweet, and kind. The place and room were new, spacious, and very clean, with a balcony overlooking a lovely stream and trees. You might even spot deer if you're lucky. Breakfast, which the host made each morning, was delicious. There was also a large bathtub and an onsen bath bomb for relaxing at the end of the day. It was such a pleasant place to call home during my visit. Thank you, Izumi San! I'll come back again and again whenever I visit Nikko.

The highlight was Izumi San, a wonderfully welcoming and generous host. He shared plenty of good tips for outings and restaurants, picked us up and took us back to the train station, and even offered rides into town. You can also reach the center by bus or on foot if you don't mind a short walk. The B&B sits quietly by a small creek in the forest, an ideal escape from busy city life after Tokyo. Our traditionally furnished room had a comfortable futon and a private terrace with a lovely view, perfect for tea in the morning or a cold drink in the evening. Each morning Izumi prepared an incredible Japanese breakfast. My vegetarian request was no trouble: he chose local vegetables and cooked them so their flavors came through beautifully. It was the best food we've had so far in Japan. We'd recommend this calm place to anyone looking for an authentic Japanese stay and a chance to meet a great local host. Thank you for everything!
