Sumica Apartments

The host was friendly and gave us useful sightseeing tips that made our trip easy and enjoyable. When a small problem came up during our stay, they dealt with it quickly. The room was spacious, well equipped, and had a heater, so we were very comfortable. We had a great stay, better than expected. Highly recommend!

We loved the tatami room, which was spacious, clean, and came with a mini kitchen and free washing machine. It was easy to reach the main metro station on foot, and the major sights, including the World Heritage Sites and Shinkyo bridge, were close enough that we could visit two temples, return for a snack and a break, then head back out. Our host was fantastic. He picked us up at the train station, took us for a short drive to see the river, and gave us great sightseeing advice on timing, weather, and how long to allow. We're so glad we chose this place, and would absolutely recommend it.

Sato was a great host, with plenty of suggestions about places to see and eat. The location made it easy to walk to many of the main shrines and sights, and the Tobu buses stopped right outside, so getting around by public transport was simple.

We booked at the last minute because there was one night available on the day we arrived. Communication was quick and clear from the start, and the hostess met us at the apartment, showed us around, and shared local recommendations. For Japan, the apartment was big, and the price felt good. We'd stayed elsewhere for the same cost with less space and shared bathrooms, so having a place of our own was a real plus. It's conveniently between restaurants and the shrines, and there's free parking nearby. We'd stay again.
