Ninohe City Hotel

The rooms don’t separate smoking from non-smoking, which is a downside. It mostly serves business travelers in male-dominated fields like construction, so women get access to the public bath for only a very limited time. Breakfast was small but cute and healthy, and there’s good food nearby.

The staff were very kind and helpful, and I slept comfortably on the Airweave bed. There’s also a convenient, professional clothes cleaning service. Ninohe City Hotel mainly caters to business travelers and has a warm, accommodating feel. Breakfast was healthy and pleasant, though on the small side, and there are good places to eat nearby. The comfortable amenities and attentive service made for a pleasant stay, whether you’re in town for work or just need somewhere comfortable to rest.

It’s a quiet place to stay even though it’s close to the station, and there are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby. The hotel is on the main road from the station, so it’s easy to find, and it’s about a five-minute walk from JR Ninohe Station. If you’re driving, it’s around ten minutes from the Ninohe Interchange on the Hachinohe Expressway, with access from across the Tohoku region. There’s a bus stop nearby for getting around town or visiting tourist spots, making this a convenient base for sightseeing or business, whether you arrive by Shinkansen or local train.

I slept comfortably in the compact room, which has been renovated. Posters of famous paintings are displayed around the building. The large public bath uses water from Kindaichi Onsen, apparently, and the smooth water helped ease my fatigue. Men and women use the bath at alternating times. I’d definitely recommend it.
