We spent four nights here after a week each in Tokyo and Kyoto, and it was such a nice change to be up in the mountains among rice fields and vineyards. The house is a beautiful Japanese-style place, about 90 years old, built from earth, wood, and paper. The owner made us a traditional, healthy breakfast on our first morning: fresh fish, a traditional egg dish, incredible miso soup, and Fuji in the background. He also left vegetables from his land and some fresh fruit for us. Everything was clean and the attention to detail was impeccable. We had a perfect stay, and I'd highly recommend it.

The room was huge, almost more space than the three of us needed, especially for such a reasonable price. We also really liked the facilities, particularly the projector. It was a wonderful stay, and I'd come back if I get the chance.

There's plenty of space and it's comfortable, with a view of Mount Fuji too. The hospitality here really stands out.

The staff were kind and pointed us toward local places to visit. They apparently share sightseeing spots on Instagram too. We stayed in the private villa, an old Japanese house that's been renovated, surrounded by rice paddies and fields, so it was incredibly peaceful. There was plenty of room for six of us to relax. We bought meat at a nearby supermarket for a BBQ, and were also given vegetables grown in the field in front of the villa. It was our first time doing something like that, and the vegetables were delicious. The whole family was very happy with the stay.
