Koa Niseko

Everything worked well, and the place felt luxurious. It was the best accommodation I've stayed in: so welcoming, clean, nicely decorated, and cozy.

The upstairs living room was my favorite, especially the fireplace and big window looking out at the falling snow. The house is beautiful, spacious and well designed, with a garage that saves you from shoveling snow off the car. By the entrance, there's a spot for clothes and ski gear with heated floors to keep things warm and dry. There's a cozy TV corner, two bedrooms downstairs, a bathroom and separate toilet. Upstairs you'll also find a fully equipped open kitchen, though it only had salt and pepper for seasonings, and the master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. Housekeeping doesn't come every day, but there's a dishwasher and vacuum cleaner. The village is a five-minute walk from the bus stop, though there are no restaurants or convenience stores nearby. Reception via WhatsApp wasn't always reliable, sometimes slow and sometimes quick to respond. In winter, there's a shuttle to Niseko Village once a day, but it's limited and needs to be booked ahead. It's a nice, quiet stay, though a bit far from the main town. A taxi to Niseko Hirafu takes about 15 minutes and costs around 4,500 yen. In winter, there's also a bus every hour for 500 yen.

Having a car was essential. It made it much easier to explore the area and stock up on groceries. At Koa Niseko, the Townhouse had everything we needed for family cooking, from the stove to the cutlery and crockery. After a day in the snow, we loved returning to this cozy home away from home and making meals together with fresh ingredients from Lucky Supermarket. The location, comfortable accommodation, and little moments of sharing meals made our winter getaway special.

This beautiful ski chalet was quiet and private, away from the bustle of town, but still within walking distance of Banzai chairlift at Niseko Village ski resort. It was extremely comfortable for our family of 6.
