Great staff, clean and spacious rooms, and a great location. When the Niseko Village gondola is running, this is the best spot because you don’t have to fight the crowds to get up the mountain. It’s a two-minute drive to the base of Niseko Village.

SnowDog Village was a great place to stay. The accommodations were clean, spacious and had everything needed to be comfortable, and the location was convenient. Each day, it was easy to request the shuttle to and from the Niseko Village Gondola through WhatsApp. The team also helped coordinate receiving and shipping our skis and luggage with Yamato Transport, which made traveling much smoother. The helpful staff are what really made it. They shared tips on where to eat, ski and shop, and were always looking for ways to make the stay better. Miharu and her team, Noah, Ben, David, Dakota, and I know there were a few others, were amazing and fun to get to know. Thank you all!

The place itself was fine, and the employees were friendly, but they kept giving us wrong information. In early December, there’s very little transport to Hirafu and no food nearby. The bus only comes once an hour and stops running after 2pm, so you’ll need a car if you’re staying here early in the season.

David, the Irish staff member, was especially helpful. He got my friends and me to and from the ski lifts every day. We had an amazing stay, and the whole experience was great.

The staff made this a great home base for our three days in Niseko. They helped with food recommendations, onsens, gear hire and ski pass collection, and the shuttle made getting around easy. We loved the room and location too, and we’ll definitely be back at SnowDog.
