Dougashima Onsen Minsyuku Yasumiso

The place felt homely, and I really enjoyed chatting with the owners over meals. Their son happened to be visiting, too. He told me about fishing and showed me his lures, which made the visit even more fun. Later, rereading the manga "Yuru Camp△" made me realize I’d walked the same paths as the main character. It’s a wonderful memory, and I’d love to stay again. There’s a hot spring bath, the inn is near Sawada Park, and the sunset was absolutely beautiful. The local fish and vegetables were all incredibly tasty, and there was so much food I could barely finish. I also enjoyed a morning stroll around Sawada Park, the small beaches, and the seaside paths.

Good food in generous amounts at a very reasonable price, and the nearby beach is handy in summer.

I looked forward to the meals every day, the food was incredibly delicious. The rooms and bath were clean, and the hot spring water was fantastic. The landlady and her husband were very kind. I’d highly recommend the place if you’re ever in West Izu.

The owners were both kind and helpful, and the food was outstanding. They’d told us before, “We’ve never failed to help you catch a red sea bream,” and they helped two beginners catch two each. I was disappointed with how things went for me, so I’d like another shot and hope to stay with them again.
