We both have tattoos, so we tried the private onsen and loved it. There were thoughtful, high-quality touches throughout that made the stay even better. The room exceeded our expectations, and both buffet meals, breakfast and dinner, were plentiful and sumptuous. The location was just right too, within a short walk of town and Hell Valley. I can’t think of anything negative to say about this superb hotel. These were the best few days of our trip so far. Thank you!

The buffet was a real surprise: fresh food, nicely laid out, and topped up quickly. It was busy but organized, and we had fun sampling a bit of everything. The onsen was the best part of our relaxing stay at Noboribetsu Grand Hotel. The water felt silky and soothing, and the bath area’s personal care products were gentle and smelled lovely. I came away feeling refreshed. The hotel has a warm, welcoming feel that seems suited to couples and families looking for a restful break in Noboribetsu. I work in Japan’s tourism industry, so I appreciate seeing this kind of attention and care. If you need an English-speaking guide while traveling in Japan, feel free to get in touch. I’d be glad to help make your trip smooth and memorable.

The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the onsen was one of the best I’ve tried in Japan, 9.5/10. There’s a salt bath, iron bath, sulphur bath, sauna, outdoor onsen, and an icy cold bath. Dinner, though, was disappointing, around 5/10. The sashimi and pan-seared wagyu were the only dishes that were quite okay. Most of the rest tasted bland or arrived cold or hard, and the drink selection was very limited. There was a wide range of cuisines, but most dishes didn’t meet the standard I’d expect from such a grand hotel.

Even as a day visitor, we had a wonderful time using the private baths at Noboribetsu Grand Hotel. The rooms were spotless and well cared for, with everything we needed, including fresh towels and toiletries. For the privacy and comfort, the price seemed very reasonable. The arrangements were easy from beginning to end, the staff were kind and accommodating, and everything was explained clearly. It made for a peaceful, family-friendly way to enjoy Noboribetsu’s famous hot springs together.

There’s a free public bath for hotel guests, and the main shops, the bear park, and Hell valley are just a short walk away. The rooms are comfortable and there are plenty of them. Breakfast is a large buffet, mostly Japanese and Chinese dishes. The lobby was fairly quiet most of the time.
